McGill Robotics Rover PM

2025-2026

Starting August 2025, I took on a leadership role within the Rover team. As project manager I had to coordinate with the division leads to make sure we were on track for competition performance, as well as manage the project finances. This also meant negotiating the budget with the team captains and planning competition logistics. This took a ton of time, and I was really nervous to start. Leading meetings where people expect you to be laying out plans was intimidating, even if we were all just students. However, everyone on the team was extremely kind and genuine which made it a lot easier. At the end of the day I still think building things is more fun than managing a team. I still am happy to have gotten this experience though because it helped hugely with self-confidence and people skills. The video below is my vlog from CIRC 2025 (our rover competition), which was super fun.
