McGill Robotics Team Captain

2026-2027

Starting in August 2026 I took on the role to be the Captain of McGill Robotics along with my friend Jean. Together, we manage the 220+ person team and the $50,000+ budget that goes along with such a large engineering organization. We coordinate with the project managers to manage the robot budgets, and work hard to access new funding sources. I love the people I work with but at the beginning the workload was HUGE. I learned to delegate my responsibilities well and to prioritize important projects while sweating the small stuff. I don’t intend to stay captain for more than a year. Not because of the stress, I’ve figured that mostly out by now. But more because I want to put my focus back on technical projects, as well as give others the chance to gain leadership experience. The video below is a vlog of the 2026 Rover competition in August, timed right about when I was wrapping up my PM responsibilities.
